RAYMOND CRIDER (the son of our late beloved Missionary SARA KABA CRIDER) will be at our Christmas Festival. Being born in KUTKAI, and grown up as a Kachin kid among the Kachins, Sara Kaba CRIDER has a lot to say about current situations in Kachinland. Since June of 2011, Civil war in Kachinland has resumed and escalated day after day. You may already know that thousands of Kachins were compelled to leave their homes and reluctantly became IDPs (Refugees) across the Sino-Burmese border. Even at this moment, many are fleeing for their lives to safer area with a bundle of belongings. Although there is a small pocket of local relief groups, it is inadequate for them to make ends meet. Our brothers and sisters are in desperate need of food, water, medicine and shelter.
Admission to the Event is free, but we encourage participants to donate generously to the fund by purchasing food at the event. Your helpful donations are truly something to think about. If you are unable to attend but would like to contribute, you may do so by purchasing food tickets. You may also pass the invitation to someone else to represent you at the Food Fair. We want very much to help our people in great need. All proceeds will go towards Kachin Relief Fund.
I am hoping you will accept this invitation to this year's "Kachin Relief Fund Fair" fund-raising event. Please plan to support. We eagerly await your participation. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you very much. We are looking forward to see you at our fund raising event at Calvary Baptist Church on November 5th.
Sincerely,
Mid Altantic Kachin Christian Fellowship
